Galena Festival of Performing Arts
5:30 Dinner at Fried Green Tomatoes
7:30 Broadway Night Concert at Grace Episcopal
Cost $24.00/person which includes round trip transportation from FGT / Grace Church
Dinner includes: Bruschetta, House Salad & Bread, Prime Rib OR Grilled Salmon
Jim and Linda Lynn are holding a reservation for 10, which can be adjusted, up or down.

August 22
Mass in the Grass
9:00 a.m. LOL services outdoors at Murphy’s Gardens followed by a picnic/brunch

August 29
Ice Cream Social at the home of Mary and Tom Grant, 11351 Golf View Drive.

September 12
LOL church picnic at the home of Judy Dixon and Ed Schmitt, 1520 Field Street, across
from Recreation Park. Details to follow

The committee will strive to create, promote and help produce social events for our members and
friends of Lord of Love throughout the community.
Long-term, we look toward the possibility of producing co-sponsored events by having
developed relationships between LOL and other Galena area churches and organizations.
We’d like to make this as little work as possible for those involved.
Examples: Attend an already scheduled event and simply buy tickets. Host a casual potluck
dinner, ice cream social, or church picnic.
If someone has an idea for an event, they should act as the lead in putting it together with help
from others.
There is no set schedule or agenda. We want this to play out in it’s own way as the needs and
desires of our membership dictate.
We are always open to new ideas and concepts.
